The African National Congress has never expected very much from the Democratic Alliance and the latest revelations of the extent to which the DA is prepared to stoop is consistent with a party with no convincing platform or credibility to provide any leadership to South Africa.
The reports that the Democratic Alliance has been bribing members and voters of the African National Congress to win elections in the Free State are a clear indication of a desperate, hopeless party that will stop at nothing, including electoral fraud, to ascend to power and destabilise the African National Congress.
Such behaviour is typical of the DA, and this latest scandal is consistent with their incoherent campaign, littered with lies and vitriol directed at the ANC and its leadership. The ANC has warned that the DA will do anything to gain power and it is no surprise therefore that they will resort to even unconstitutional means to ascend to power.
We have no doubt this is just one of many early warning signs that South Africans should be wary of from a party that can so blatantly undermine our constitutional democracy.
The shameless DA has been exposed for the extent to which they hold the people of this country in disdain, prepared to even use their suffering for the purposes of acquiring illegimate favour; making a mockery of our democracy. Day by day, we see the Democratic Alliance for the desperate fraud that it is, prepared to go all lengths to fool the people of this country and destabilise their organisation, the African National Congress.
Law enforcement officials must move with the required urgency to halt these tendencies which we can only hope, are not widespread. The affected DA councillors, however many they may be, must not wait to be removed unceremoniously but should rather resign.
