I'd much rather be a stan for the DA than a stan for the ANC.

As a matter of fact ... this is wrong ... I wouldn't be or feel anything for the ANC, no matter what the circumstance.

Imagine the complete outrage that would follow the DA publishing a similar post (not they it wouldn't surprise me if they did ;)).
 
Unfortunately it is perfectly plausible that in a particular instance a DA councillor or party employee has tried to bribe an ANC councillor or party member. Frankly bribery is a daily occurence in politics.

The DA has before been caught playing chequebook politics in the Western Cape and I suspect they would like to ensure that Peter Marais becomes a Voldemord character. IIRC in one instance the DA gave a special campaign contribution for a ward councillor to resign from the ANC in order that the councillor re-run on the DA banner in a byelection. Ultimately the guy ended up forming his own party that went into coalition with the ANC and again IIRC that municipality in the campaign period for the 2009 general elections that municipality had its letterheads used for fundraising for the ANC.

Now the level of buying from the ANC which has been established is absolutely shocking. The best example I am aware of though is the sordid tale of Vernon (The Thug) Stuurman of Kouga Local Municipality. [He is welcome to attempt suit for defamation, truth is a bitch]: In 2000 VTTS gained a ward seat as a DA councillor before crossing the floor to the ANC [the ANC has declined to investigate whether any ANC member paid him a sum of R50 000 to cross the floor] today he is the de facto deputy mayor on behalf of the ANC. The ANC can't touch VTTS because it will cost them control of Kouga but the long term effect is that they are alienating the local community and will take a bruising in the national poll - - they also have created a municipality that is deeply corrupt and systemically dysfunctional and will remain so for as long as VTTS is in charge. In one of those situations where if you don't laugh you cry there is great comedy in the fact that VTTS managed to beat a corruption rap last year by claiming under oath in court that he didn't accept a steal bribe money from a property developer he was merely collecting the money for the then municipal manager and that he paid over the money to the municipal manager. Of course he was charged with theft and had to be acquitted - by admitting to being a bag man. Needless to say the ANC claimed the acquittal as a vindication - no doubt under the Zumastration mafia style conduct is the norm.

Well, there would be less outrage and more denial.

Politicians are evil bra, all of them. Why would you want to give your kidney to a wicked person?

FFS this is one of the funniest things I have heard in a long time. The DA wouldn't want your corrupt @ss vote firstly and you don't know the meaning of the word democracy.
 
If this is the case, the ANC needs to exposed the ANC members taking bribes and punish them. The idea of "resigning" is just giving a "get out of jail free" for those.

ANC's policy on dealing with corruption is asking nicely for the people to resign? What a joke.
