Hi guys

I have received feedback from the DA, but I am not convinced that they will take the matter further:

“Thank you, this looks excellent. I have been reproaching Telkom for the slow roll out – a pathetic 20 000 by last year, if memory serves. It is thought in some quarters that they were protecting their ISDN outlay before launching ADSL.
Sentech on the other hand has been passionate, and I hope their teething problems sort themselves out. The liberalisations should help.
Kind regards
Dene Smuts”

Dealing with Polititions is like dealing with the 2 soft nippled mounds of the sapiens female.
- They get your attention.
- You notice them and because of them, start having difficulty looking in the right direction.
- You have to coax and tease and ego-stroke to get access to them.
- You will never know if you have access to them, until you suddenly do.
- Now that you have access to them, you have to be gentle and caress your way into getting to the actual goal.
- The only way to get to the actual goal is to build up the excitement to a level where the actual goal is wanted by both of you.
- Once you get to the actual goal, there are absolutely no garauntee's that the focus will remain on the actual goal, something more interesting/better could pop-up at any time.

This is why women can be much more effective in getting a politition to play with.
They invented the tactics.

Seems we have to educate our "Leaders" as well.
Sigh.
I think you might be correct here. Vincent from the ID sounds knowledgeable, but I think some other ‘leaders’ might lack some essential knowledge regarding broadband.

The DA has definately missed the boat on this one, seems they have no idea what they are talking about. ID definately has a better idea of what is going on.

Hehe, I was thinking exactly that this morning. Just haven't had time to craft a response.

Do we have a basic document that spells out what [the world thinks] broadband is? I would suggest that is a good place to start.

With respect to the politicians involved, when I say basic and spelled out, I mean it in the literal sense. Some of these people might be lost on a PC without a mouse and Windoze..

Note to self: Go read ICASA complaints document...
