Praises be to Dene Smuts for making some sense in their realms - but then we know that the ruling party does not use this "majestic potion" known as sense to make any decisions.

Also I'm with other views that have been stated here - criticizing the bitch which is our minister alone won't help. If her peers could realise what she is doing before she gives them "that look" then they would all be of the same view as Dene Smuts and the rest of us.

This article really hits home - Ivy is on the way to imposing sanctions on ourselves.

Let's face it, it's all a massive farce. The government claims to want to lower the prices but then they do everything in their power to prevent the prices from lowering themselves. They do not want the masses of South Africa to get access to the internet as they will be able to compare the country to the rest of the world and not just africa then. By limiting the access to information the masses have no alternatives than to believe what the government is telling them. Only then will the masses realize that they have been done in by the government for the last 13 years. The government is so afraid of the masses educating themselves that they are doing everything to keep them uneducated and isolated from the rest of the world. They have conceded that those who are able to pay the current telecom fees are a lost cause to them, as those are the higher paid better educated people who generally scream at the governments incompetence. Telecoms prices will not come down in this country until we have a different party in the presidential office.

In relation to the poll, I'm not sure Ivy is the devil. She may very well not be fit for office, but I think the big impeding factor in telecommunications is the Department of Cockups itself. I believe it is not fit to BE an office, let alone have incompetent people hold it...

As if Government gives a damn what the DA says. Its great that the DA speaks out against what's going on, but its more like farting against the wind!.

I've lost hope ages ago, this new stint by Ivy just adds fuel to the fire and all the other little greedy scheme's government is doing against its citizens!. High time to Immigrate!.

Its actually a little amusing to think, several years ago we were shouting abuse at Telkom, but its much clearer now, that Telkom is just one of the tentacles of government, and the monster in control is ol Thabo, because he's not really willing to do anything about this greed situation going on around him!. He's only spouts about the high costs of Telecommunications to make him look good and keep his lifestyle well funded!
Well put!

As if there will be another party in the presidential office soon....
Remember, we don't have a democracy, we pretty much have a monarchy with a HUGE family of "look-like-me's" that make turns being king.

High time to Immigrate!.

errrr... there is a subtle difference... :D you going to emigrate or immigrate? :D

Emigration is the act and the phenomenon of leaving one's native country to settle in another country. Wikipedia

Immigration is the movement of people from one nation-state to another. Wikipedia

One is permanent, the other's dynamic.

Which countries will accept political refugees, and what is the conditions for being a political refugee? :D

One day....far away

I think the song: It ends Tonight by The All American Rejects - is quite fitting to our dilemma with the telecoms situation in this country.
"When darkness turns to light" then we can be like the rest of the world

Here's to you Ivy and DoC ;) *where's the emoticon for the finger?*

It End Tonight Lyrics
Artist(Band):The All-American Rejects

Your subtleties
They strangle me
I can’t explain myself at all.
And all the wants
And all the needs
All I don’t want to need at all.

The walls start breathing
My minds unweaving
Maybe it’s best you leave me alone.
A weight is lifted
On this evening
I give the final blow.

When darkness turns to light,
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.

A falling star
Least I fall alone.
I can’t explain what you can’t explain.
You're finding things that you didn’t know
I look at you with such disdain

The walls start breathing
My minds unweaving
Maybe it’s best you leave me alone.
A weight is lifted
On this evening
I give the final blow.

[Chorus]
When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It’s too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.

Now I’m on my own side
It’s better than being on your side
It’s my fault when you're blind
It's better that I see it through your eyes

All these thoughts locked inside
Now you’re the first to know

When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It’s too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends when darkness turns to light
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Just a little insight won't make this right
It’s too late to fight
It ends tonight,
It ends tonight.
Tonight,
When darkness turns to light,
It ends tonight.

Thinking positive thoughts of Poison Ivy choking on a doughnut and Tsunami-Shareholder Lyndall being exposed as the fraudster she appears to be.

Immigration is also defined as "the action of coming to live permanently in a foreign country" therefore both should be construed as being permanent.

I have a lot of respect for the DA. I mean, I can't ever see myself debating with total retards day in and day out and stay sane enough to not shoot myself in frustration.

I dont really understand the need for government to control the Telcoms market so obsessively. Radio spectrum I understand, fixed line I dont (other than last mile). Either way, controlling or not Government get tax rands. If the new services are overpriced or mismanaged consumers just wont use it, they will continue to use the better managed and much cheaper service offered by Telkom...
“Those who want to partner with us can partner on our terms,”
I suspect Shope-Mafole and consumers may be eating Telkom pie for a while longer.
