DA Manifesto Launch

I see some empty seats. The obviously haven't mastered how to bus people in, offer free shirts and food

The DA already does that. Other than the colours of the shirts, political rallies are really similar.

I will say, Athol has great self control or a great speech writer. He once again only took one shot at Zuma and Danny and kept the rest of his speech too local PE issues.

Well done to DA. Personally, I despise many of the their members, DA leadership is great. Good times ahead I think.

The DA's governance is apparently pretty good. They would do well if only they kept Zuma and the ANC out of their mouths and focused more on driving the message of their policies and successes where they lead. It seems their entire campaign is based on bad mouthing the ANC and Zuma.

100%. I want to hear about service delivery and monetary colkections to do it.

As I said, I think Athol Trollip did it properly.

I'm disappointed in an ad the DA ran. It has Mmusi saying that Zuma violated the constitution and shows the con court judgment. Mmusi then says, what happened next? It cuts to Zuma in parliament saying Nkandla and laughing.

Zuma did say that, but it was in response to Mmusi, and happened months before the con court judgment.

I was being facetious

But it's so easy to do...

What makes you think he doesn't still jeer at the Concourt?

DA=cANCer lite. Same policies. Think they've lost many white supporters.

They have flip flopped on BEE and gay rights.
I wouldn't call gay rights utterances flip flopping. On BEE I think all that happened is their stance on current legislation as voted during Lindiwe tenure as parliament leader it isn't a change in DA policy per se.

How have they flip flopped on gay rights?

Mmusi said that he would put gay marriage to a referendum. Such a referendum would probably be void, as the con court already ruled that limiting marriage on gender is unconstitutional.

For the civil union vote, the DA told mps to vote their conscience, instead of voting yes, as per con court requirement.

I don't think they lost many white supporters, even if they did they have gained many black supporters that they will easily balance the deficit.

Mmusi's opinion != DA policy.
