Jeezuz  .. .no comment one what was actually in the manifesto ? :erm::confused:

... lot's of promises being made by all political parties which all look a bit thin on the "how" ... FFS ... just don't suggest inconveniencing people into having to stock up with a bit more booze on a Saturday ....

I bought alcohol at Pick n' Pay Liquor on Sunday in Canal walk, while others like Constantia don't sell.

So the DA will come to the rescue of this greedy beast that Aaron Motsoaledi wants to tame. Would not be surprised if big pharma is a major DA funder.

[*]Break up inefficient state monopolies, & distribute shares to ordinary citizens, to increase competition and bring down prices
Another pro-business and anti-poor measure to make essential services commodities and even more unaffordable for the ordinary citizens.

[*]A DA Government will provide 7 million EPWP opportunities to alleviate poverty and provide a step-up for job seekers
You heckled the ANC when it promised this, now you are parroting it.

Meh, ANC has done such a bad job that the other parties promising books to students... Anc made mediocre the thing to promise and strive for.

Just one question, the same one I have for the EFF and the ANC w.r.t. their electioneering promises, where is the money coming from for this?
I get that they will save 30 billion on corruption etc, and that they want to partner with big business for medical for all, (good luck on that one by the way), but at just quick scan, their promises, just like the ANC and the EFF, do not appear to have the available funds to make them a reality.
If anyone feels that I am incorrect here, please feel free to point out to me where the billions, possibly trillions is going to come from to pay for all these promises.

By rooting out corruption. Do you have any idea how much money is stolen each year by the ANC?

Yes, they stated in their manifesto that they will save 30 billion by cutting corruption, and firing corrupt officials.
They will then spend 10 billion of that on speeding up land reform and providing training and support for new farmers.
And if you look at the rest of their promises w.r.t. millions of jobs, 1 million internships, 250 000 additional cops, 15 000 more teachers per year, 7 million EPWP opportunities, building rehab centers, etc, etc, the remaining 20 billion is not going to be close to enough.

More employed people means more tax revenue.
