I think it's easier getting information from the community as a non law-enforcement agent. Look at Brad Nathanson in Durban, he's solved a lot of crimes, sure he has police experience but he's not part of the force, they really should re-introduce a reward for information system.

What's really sad is there was no mention of Pretty in any of the news sites before this story about her dad. Imagine if she was from a white suburb, News24/IOL would be doing backflips over each other.

I don't think I would have allowed these guys to be arrested if they had killed my child. Kudos to him for dealing with this in a calm manner.
 
Communities need to stop protecting these scumbag criminals.

Why would the media outlets bother though? There is much more money in reporting to satisfy the genocide brigade...

There's that anonymous tip-off hotline they can use, maybe if more people knew about it they'd use it more. I think that would eliminate the fear aspect.
