Damaged iTunes library

Does iTunes save your library anywhere else other than the Previous Library folder? My library is damaged and the only backup in that folder is from 2014

Is it possible to restore it from that gibberish backup folder with the weird filenames?

Did you set iTunes to import files (copy to Music\iTunes) or simply add to the library?

You mean the organise option, if so yes. What I am dreading is the fact that if I say start a new library and simply point iTunes to where my files are when it syncs the first time it is going to copy the hundreds of apps I had taken off the iPad back on. Unless it only transfers one way?

Thanks will have a look. It was a bit stupid not to keep regular backups of that library I got to say especially after spending time rationalising the number of apps I have on the device.

I just renamed the "damaged" library file back to normal and it worked lol
