i wanna tell you the story that ruined my weekend. so i can upgrade from vodacom and i thought, hey, tablet time. despite being horribly expensive on a contract, i decided to just do it. so i decided on the flyer. i liked the 7" display and the pen. and my wallet was happy as well. so i sorted the paperwork and the flyer was ordered. so on friday(after the week) i go to the store to collect my new plaything. the guy goes to the back room and i can barely control my excitement. then the guy comes back, no tablet in hand and starts telling me, sorry, the shipment came in, but no flyer was part of it. then he kindly informs me htc no longer sell the flyer and thus vodacom no longer sells the flyer...despite it still being advertised averywhere. so please just do all your customers a favour and STOP ADVERTISING **** YOU DO NOT HAVE AND DO NOT SELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the greatest part of it a month from now you start another thread that you were billed for a device you don't own :p

If you are worried...PM me the number you were going to upgrade and I will check on the system and see if a upgrade was processed. I doubt it as we need to input the IMEI number of the device/s that we issue to the client.

sigh, the number of negative Vodacom threads starting lately isnt good for them... do they care?

Devices gets discontinued all the time. It is up to the stores to inform the client accordingly. As I have mentioned now...instead of the HTC Flyer, clients can consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab P7300 as a replacement model and it is newer also than the Flyer.

yeah this is what i am going to do now. but it is a significant price bump. and im not really interested in the P1000.

My sister also had a minor incident at Vodacom at cresta where she wanted to know why her BIS wasn't working (all internet was being charged from her airtime), they basically ignored her... The Vodacom at Bright water commons were a much bigger help though and tried their best to rectify the issue (turns out all she needed was a software update :p)... So I think it is dependent on the branch, rather than Vodacom themselves.

I lol'd today at a guy with a poster advert for a HTC wilfire deal, but with a picture of the Sensation. Lame.
