Darth Vader doing WC Final commentary

Was it just me or did it sound like Darth Vader was doing commentary on SS3 last night?

All that sniffs ave. at about 6 per minute, that gives you 720 sniffs in the game

It got so disgusting that I had to switch to SABC1

Really unprofoessional to commentate like that
 
I agree - it sounded like he was smoking a massive joint in the background.
 
That guy sucked the carpet right into the tv. How bad a sound engineer do you have to not notice or fix it as well?!

My wife and I were getting quite irritated. I also said to her that I can't believe that the sound engineers are not hearing what we were hearing. It was actually becoming quite annoying.
 
I was waiting to see something about this, at first it was funny but very irritating very quickly! i wonder how many complaints super sport will get today.
 
I hadn't realised the sniff was that bad. Last night was the first time I watched the game on SS3 because I went to public viewing at my local casino. It was very bad... Then I went home and heard some emails complaints at the end of the broadcast. Apparently he's 67 and has picked flu.

Was it just me, or was this guy also quite clearly biased towards Spain? For a moment there i thought i was watching SA/AUS rugby with only Ausie commentary :wtf:
 
It was not the first time that we have been complaining... John Campion (?) was doing it the whole tournament!!!

But.... Still better sound and picture quality on Supersport, especially when watching on LCD TV. With SABC it seems like the picture is zoomed in a bit and sound distorts at times especially when the commentator screams for nothing when the ball goes miles wide.

I'm not sure whether it is Darth Vader or John Campion, but one of them does that every time, even in previous WC, I think even in Euro and ECL.
 
I loled when he claimed a dutch player calmly headed the ball back to the keeper but it clearly hit the player on the back of the head, he had no clue :D

Also when he said it was past his bedtime. Supersport short changed us with the geriatrics feed ffs
 
ahhh, so it wasn't only me. I was under the impression there was something wrong with the T.V.

Should have changed the audio option.
 
I thought it was pretty cool, there is a distinct lack of point scoring moves in soccer, so ...
every time he sniffed we had to drink.
