Data bundle price reduction? (Top-Up)

Hi

I just purchased a 3Gig standard bundle for use in my Ipad at R520 and now see the amount of data available sitting at 4.2 Gig. I had no data balance showing before on the Vodacom website. Was the website not showing any remaining bundle or did we actually saw an increase in bundle sizes for the same price.

Any other feedback will be welcome.
 
Yeah, it now shows the remaining bundle. You will see your total CAP is now 6 Gig - nearly dropped a fat brown one last week when I saw my wife had used 400Meg of the 300Meg contract only to see that the portal showed my CAP was 600Meg.
 
However the 'other half' is your data quota from midnight...

Not sure. That is what I originally thought when I saw my stats but I don't have Night Owl on MyMeg300 and it showed a cap of 600Mb. When I looked at the previous months usuage (I monitor using a vnstat), I saw the previous and current months usuage was the amount reflected on the portal.

What do you get if you send mm to 31050 (It should tell you if you have a Night Owl balance)
 
I am on a Topup package and are not aware that Topup clients get the free night shift data. I checked again this morning and it is indicating 4.38GB remaining, this after purchasing 3gb for 520mb. Only one expiry date namely 30 June 2011.
 
The night owl is not applying to me as I am using a Topup 200 contract. It still look Like I received more data than expected and this is good.
 
From my VC:

Data Balances
300 meg

Month | Threshold | Used Bundle | Remaining Bundle | Expiry Date
May 300.00MB 1.86MB 298.14MB 2011/06/30
April 300.00MB 212.80MB 87.20MB 2011/05/31

Data Used: 214.66MB of 600.00MB

So its the April & May balance in one.
 
I started this thread with a question whether Data bundle sizes were increased and the title was whether Vodacom dropped data rates. I just wish that the moderators will actually read threads before changing the title.

My question remain, why did I get about 1.4Gb more data than the bundle that I purchased and all these data expiring on 30 June 2011. I had no data remaining that was transferred as my previous bundle was purchased in March and expired on 30 April 2011.

I load these adhoc bundles on a Topup 200 contract and these kind of contracts are excluded from Night Owl promotion.
