hi

im having some trouble understanding the data usage on my phone. if I login to vodacom wesbite, these are the bundles that I have

it says they are monthly, but every now and then I get a message from vodacom saying you have used x% of your bubundle, which expires on x. Thing is its like a month and a half/two months from now...

Its not monthly then?

another question, currently im paying R99 for the MyMeg 250 Monthly package. Are you saying that if I purchase that on 01 September, it will then only expire end of October?

The add-hoc (once off bundles) are valid for up to 2 months from date of purchase (note the up to part). So yes you can manage it nicely over two months.

cool thanks guys. Im using so much less data now that Im not syncing my work email, but I need to again so just checking my options

on day 13/30 and used about 100mb of my 110mb monthly bundle.

still got the 250mb over two months which is nice :D

will they charge me monthly even though I havent used it all? Would I need to manage the 250 bundle manually, is that better?

I have cancelled my month-to-month bundles in favour of buying an ad-hoc bundle every 2 months. Takes a bit of effort on your part to remember to buy a new bundle, but the savings add up quickly.

The main problem with running a month-to-month bundle with an ad-hoc bundle is that in month 2 your new bundle kicks in first and only when that is depleted do you start using the remainder of the ad-hoc bundle.
