Data bundles not available 2011/02/07 [SOLVED]

Well if they had competent technicians working for them this problem would have been noticed last nite already.
Just checking my logs & i can see my net died 2 mins after midnight.
Obviously u test upgrades & new systems during first few days of implementations.
Seems they just installed and left for home once install was done.

Cell C for themselves...
 
The problem they upgraded their system and had to migrate everyone details on the new servers/db/customer db/ whatever u call it...

This can mean something to do with timestamps... This happen on another carrier they upgraded their whole entire infrastructure and bang the network went off from midnight. ---- they probaby looking into their RADIUS somewhere something is not synchronizing to the new db properly.

Someone was suppose to stay at HQ, and see if the new system is fully in operation for at least a month of supervision - How many millions are CELL C going to loose due to human error.
 
Dont think i care if they loose millions, its incompetence. Plain & simple.
Like u said had to be supervised, not left once updates/upgrades installed.
 
What disappoints me the most - Why were informed last minute of this planned network upgrade(Advertising on Radio and Media ex. News Paper,forums etc) a week prior would of made me happy..-

If I knew this was going to happen would of made necessary arrangements to bring the dongle from work.....

In future do proper planning "CELL C" and inform customers while in advance not say all system go for "Friday Evening upgrade" would of been much better taken the whole system down and upgrade all at once - not at wee hours of the morning when some staff are half a sleep......

I expect by midday this should be resolved or by 10am the latest....

Trouble shooting at "CELLC" we are sorry for the inconvenience but since you are patient we will u 10gig.....
 
My *101# balance now shows:
balance = R0.00 Expiry date: 16/08/2020.Free SMS's =95.

My bundle is also gone and I've lost all my airtime!

P.S. The SMS's aren't free, they are an SMS bundle.
 
What a way to start a Monday morning.

Client already called me out because his brand new speedstick he got on Thursday wasn't working.

Saw the zero balance on his account and thought I had to go in to a store today guns blazing, because he never ever used more than 500MB of data per month in his life.

Thank goodness I never loaded any airtime on "CellC data sim" just now I would of really been ticked off if I had to make a phone call.(Cell c doesn't work in my area always get dropped calls)

I am going to phone "140" at 8am - just to tick them off and put pressure on them and ask for support ticked and a phone call back when they resolve this problem.. Wish I could attach pics :)

How lovely get a phone call from someone saying "my cell c data modem doesn't want to work" told her its "Cell experiencing a technical glitch on their network".
 
@ginggs almost thought was a system hitch there...
Imagine "balance = R0.00 Expiry date:20/11/2020. Data Bundle remaining 36.5GB...."
 
How many people are going to take advantage of this situation and charge R450-R550 call out fee, to discovery when they arrive at the clients premises - that he/she is affected by this.... Today will be raining money for some people -- I am just honest with clients never take advantage of the situation...

Feel more sorry for business/companies that are utilising cellc for internet connectivity.. 8am and no glory
 
Will i be able to claim from Cell C for money lost?
Not able to remote to clients pc's for routine backups & support now.
Actually have no work until Cell C is back working :(

Sheesh. Gotta raise my fees. Not even charging half of that. :D
 
Amazing No notice is out on their IVR line informing customers about the situation.... How beautiful is that - I thought they wanna be different to others and offer great customer support.....

I am still waiting for a direct number to data desk :((

@Roadrunner I know a client of mine that paid R550 to connect a dvd player and fax.. Now I offer him better support at less price...

Still on the line waiting........... Would be nice having you are customer 1980 please be patient your call will be answered in 10minutes :p.....

I am going to fall a sleep on the phone ...... Prepaid customers must be having a fit.........

Does anyone know how many customer consultants they've working at the "call centre"...

Gosh Trevor is annoying IVR sucks balls without a "notice out informing clients".... Gospel Life. Great news woza whenever, etc, gosh this dude is annoying...

"Give me a shotgun - this is torture" tired of waiting - customerservice at cellc...
