Just want to confirm, if I enable a data bundle today via vodacomsp, from when is it in force - only next month??

Is there any difference to a GPRS bundle and a 3G bundle - I see they cost the same but are listed separately?
 
Yep, only active from next month.

As for the GPRS/3G bundles , no idea what's the difference either [Helpdesk didn't know either when i asked as well] . Probably only there to not confuse the GPRS-only people [so they don't think they need 3G to get bundles]. In the end, they should just rename it to a generic name like "Data Bundle 500MB" , and leave out the 3G/EDGE.
 
There is no difference in the data bundles between GPRS and 3G. You pay for the data, not the bearer ( GPRS, EDGE, 3G, etc.).

I agree with diabolus, the names should change, it's more a legacy thing, I believe. Will check with the marketing people what the rationale is.
 
I could be wrong...but if you activate a data bundle before the last day of the month you do get billed pro rata for the bundle. Obviously you also get the data pro rata that you are billed for.

I haven't changed from my current 250 Mb bundle in the last 5 months, but I can recall seeing a pro rata billing on my account changing from the 75 Mb data bundle to 250 Mb data bundle.

vodacom3g can you confirm?
 
Hmmm.. thanks for the info - however, I activated a bundle 2 days ago on vodacomsp and there is no access to the balance on vodacom4me nor on *111# (Vodacom4me says I do not subscribe to any bundles) hence me querying when it is activated.
 
Thanks V3G - 155 have logged a fault and will contact me on Monday. Appears something is wrong somewhere. No major prob at this stage - still using ISDN.
