Data card issue -- NO STOCK??

Hi All,

I'm hoping there is someone here from MTN who can provide some answers... I have had no luck with the MTN SP Techinical services!

on the 6 Oct I returned my Novatel data card -- which is 1 year old an under waranty -- after it suddenly stopped working... absolutely out of the blue.

it is now 2 months later and still I am without the card - and internet access. I've been calling every week, seeing as I dont hear anything from them... initially I was told that the card would be replaced, I would be contacted when I can come and get it... I wasnt contacted and when I phoned again I was told that they didnt have stock, but it was coming..

months later and I'm still phoning every week.. only to be told that there still isnt any stock! I've become increasingly agitated as I struggle to get information from the call center staff who are unable to provide any answers and are seemingly incapable of returning a call.

is it actually possible that there is just NO 3G cards available in SA at this point in time? I'm busy paying for a service that I'm just not able to use at the moment.

and seeing as I work in the supply chain environment I just find it very hard to believe that they can be out of stock for 2 months! has the order been placed? when was a order placed? has it been shipped? has the stock been recieved? when is it supposed to be distributed to stores?? and more importantly at this stage.. can I cancel my contract with MTN before I waste any more money... and so that I can go somewhere where I can get internet access again?
