How is the data limit calculated.

1) Downloads only ?

2) Down & uploads ?

3) Or is it calculated by the bytes going up and down during connection time. (Browsing & Down/uploads). ?

A) Which is the best or better way to find out what my current data usage is.
B) How can I find ou how much I have gone over my data bundle.

Thanks.

Data is the sum of all up and down traffic, i.e. downloads, browsing, mail, etc.

You can monitor your usage in two ways and should do both:

1) On you system with monitoring tools such as the VMC itself, netlimiter, netmonitor, etc.

2) On the Vodacom back-end systems accessible via your login on Vodacom4me.

Sorry I do not understand. "As above" what do you mean ?

My original question was/is "How can I find out how far I have gone out of bundle ?"

Thanks.

Vodacom4me website should have that info albeit a little delayed.

Data bundles
GPRS One DC0
Month Threshold Used Bundle Remaining Bundle
May 1048576 KB 1048576 KB 0 KB
April 978667.52 KB 978667.52 KB 0 KB
March 0 KB 0 KB 0 KB

As you can see they only display the max value of your bundle but not when you go over. If you are under the display it but when are over.

Any other suggestions ??

Thanks.
