Hi

Is there any software that can be used to monitor data usage and speeds when connecting via the cellphone (infrared/bluetooth/cable)

I mean something like the MTN Fastlink software that works with the datacard.
and can even dial out or send sms.

I use prepaid and sometimes need to check my data by dialling *141# - It would be nice to be able to do this from the computer rather than from the phone only.

Is there any software out there?
 
BWMeter is also very nice.

Gives you your up/download speeds, and statistics of your hourly, daily, etc. bandwidth usage.

You can also set up filters to filter your LAN traffic from your internet traffic.

Thanks. NetMeter is what I was looking for.

Is there any program that allows you to dial out/send messages from the cellphone connected to the pc.

i know nokia pc suite can send msgs but you cant dial out and check your balance from the screen.

with vodacom you can stay logged in and keep checking your balance. can this be done with VM/MTN/CellC?
 
Netmeter

davidwza based on the aboved post I googled Netmeter and downloaded it in a sec. I have installed it and works well. It is Freeware btw.

Hope you enjoy it as well.
 
I found netmeter to be a little better for myself
