Hi all,
I have been using a vodafone USB modem for about 7 months now, the connection has not been great but it worked.
On the 2 Dec I bought a 1 Gb package. I tried to connect but it kept dropping the line, I did manage to connect on Fri downloaded about 60MB according to the Vodafone Connect Software. On Sat I got about 70MB.
Something went funny on Sunday though and I could not connect, I re-installed, I re-formatted and spent hours trying to get 082 155. Finally on Tuesday I got it running again.
I connected last night and found data package is empty. I contacted 082 155 they told me I have a virus. They sent me to a vodashop, I went to the Vodashop and they told me to go and call 082 155. I have been on hold on 082 155 for about 45 mins now.
How can I stop this happening again, I presume I need to keep better track of what is downloading, what do you guys use to measure your bandwidth?
Also is there anyone other than 082 155 to contact? I feel like I am being given the run around from everyone I have spoken to from Vodacom.
Thanks
Gregore
PS I do have updates turned off, I have anti-virus software installed.
