Phone to PC not equal to download speed

The 460 kbps is the transmission speed between the phone and the PC and is no indicator of your effective download speed; usually the link between the tower and your phone or the tower and the internet will be the problem. The 236 kbps represents the effective download speed achieved across all the links in the chain. Thus different things and not comparable.

Strange

When you use the E620 have you selected 3G only? or what setting have you selected? And how have you checked the speed - Via a online broadband test? Let me know

Ok here goes the update on my "overcharging"
1. 2 Weeks ago they disconnected my contract as well as my parents other 4 contracts, no incoming/outgoing/sms etc.
2. "Supervisor" called my mom to tell her that we owe them R 20000 ... (??)
3. We dug up our records of billing and charges... sent it to them....
4. They phoned back saying our account is "under investigation" - phones suspended till further notice
5. Last week they unblock calls saying that they have found a "major system error" we now owe R8000..
6. An hour after that they unblock our phones for incoming calls, then total unblock (But still pending investigation)
7. Two days ago they unblock all our phones totally, call my mom saying that We HAVE A CREDIT of +/-R3700 with them (THEY OWE US MONEY)

I am totally waiting for the "Official letter of apology" that they will send me Yesterday...
Maybe today?
Maybe never ?
or when hell freezes over. That's just disgusting.
 
Would love to see them refund you the money for when you where blocked..

ie blocked days/31 X subscription cost... ????

What you guys will have to do is subscribe via your SP or via the call centre.


Please also note that this APN is for contract clients only.

What is so special about the APNs that they have to have a special logon????

Do they run at faster speeds or give preferance to contract customers???

Corp APNs terminate directly in the ISP and is then tunnelled to the corporate LAN. All bandwidth for this is provided by the corp.

So as a business I can buy 10GB and all my staff can use this bandwidth instead of each having a private contract with MTN??


Yes. This is what the reverse billed APNS are all about and reverse billed bundles.
