I asked this before, and many of you were against it.

But the question keeps popping up again in my head.. Is it possible to allocate a portion of your Adsl data where you act as a wifi Hotspot, but granting people access as a guest.

Is there anyway to work this, so that my IP address is not compromised in any way. I would like to start my own little data center in the area, but can't for the life of me find a suitable working option.

Adsl and expensive data is not an option to the people, because it's not well off area. So I can sense an opportunity, but where I provide a cheaper alternative.

How do hotels etc do if?

Any suggestions?

Your ISP will kick you off, can you do it without them knowing?

Yes.

I will highly discourage it.

But if you going that route:
1. VPN
2. Filter sites using opendns.
3. Block certain protocols to protect yourself
4. MAC Filtering on Access Points
5. Main router
6. Raspberry PI or Server PC.(As Waylander suggested)
7. Raspberry Lan Extention Board
8. Wifi Access Points(As Thor suggested)

At Client Side they just need router connected to you Wifi Access Point.

If you reselling data it will be an issue with ISP plus you need licence.
If sharing service at fix cost each for no profit, ISP cannot do anything.
Note If you using WIFI Area Booster you also need license.
Sharing Local Drive on Raspberry PI is simple, just mount and allow FTP Access to internal network.
