Data Sim has Launched

seems like its the same company going via telkom mobile this time.

took me a while to find what network as they were very shady on that. but there is a clause:

Capability of Sim Card
  • Sim card is data and a voice Sim Card. You can make and receive calls.
  • Sim card can work on all devices that has internet receivers and APN can be entered.
  • User is able to browse any website, besides malicious sites and porn sites.
  • Users can download emails and attachments.
  • R50.00 airtime will be loaded to client at the beginning of every calendar month
  • Users will be able to access the 10GB Free wifi using Telkom hotspots provided R100 minimum credit is loaded.
  • Sim card speed depends on the area that the user is in. If user is at an area with LTE speed, they will receive LTE and if they at an area with 3G they will get 3G. The same applies to areas with 2G network.
Restrictions on Sim Card
  • Porn websites and malicious sites are blocked by the network. If a customer finds a site that’s blocked and it is not a malicious, porn or streaming site we will unblock it. User can send us an email to [email protected], we will check the site and have it unblocked.
  • Users are not able to download movies, music, malicious content.
  • You Tube and streaming sites are blocked.
  • Users are able to access blocked content using the 10GB WIFI provided.
Other Conditions
  • This product cannot be refunded after purchase.
  • A service fee may be charged in the event of SIM card failure or loss and reissue of the SIM.
  • Customers shall not transfer the product to a third party.

This is what the internet is being used for... How the hell you going to use the 10GB if you can't do the bold parts?
I suppose you can game still though? For how long till that is also shut down :D
