Data usage with iPhone as modem

I am using iPhone as modem on my Laptop. ISP Afrihost.
When downloading from Internet (G Chrome) I notice that an almost exact amount is uploaded, the Afrihost usage graph is exactly followed by upload. This eats up my data at double rate.Help please!

thats how they play around. i cancelled that afrihost thing after losing 1 gb in 9 mins
