Anyone going to watch this? this haye guy seems very cocky for man about to face a monster of a man.

November 7th, should be an interesting fight, big slow powerful man vs small fast man.

If you're going to fight a 7 foot 2" guy perhaps you shouldn't say things like...

"He's an ugly type of fighter, he tries to lean on you, tries to brawl and comes out with a really hairy chest that gets matted and is disgusting."I've never been a big fan of the matted hair in my face. The size I am, I sort of come up to his chest and apparently the word around the campfire is that he doesn't smell too sweet.
"I've talked to a few guys that have been in the ring with him and they say that's the first thing they notice, just the stench."Hopefully he runs a cold tap over himself or someone hoses him down outside before he comes in."

I hope Haye gets his lights knocked out in the first round - he needs to be brought down to size... reminds me of Prince Nazeem... I'm so sorry he fought a different era to Mitchell.
Haye is in awesome shape but with Valuev's reach... Who else thinks his head is the same size as Valuev's fist

Seems everyone has Hayes wrong - of the two there's only one boxing tonight and it's not Hayes... He's supposed to be the fav cos of his flair in the ring. All the guy can do is run...

Yea sopcast is down now missing the last 3 rounds but damn after the 6th he has gone long enough, he should have opened up instead of jump and bot and weave and dance.

Maybe he thinks people will respect him because he went the distance but what a crap fight the first 9 rounds :(.

Wow he won haha damn i missed the last 3 rounds but wow that is epic in my opinion.

Epic fail - the fight was an epic fail. They really shouldn't give a championship belt away to a guy who spends his time running. Valuev was the only one trying to fight tonight. I know there's the punch count but seriously, trying to create action should count in your favour and I reckon they messed that one up. Haye was lame. Another Don King setup to remind us what a sorry state Boxing is in.
My take on that fight - seriously - is that the boxing powers have wanted a new champ and no-one has been able to take Valuev down so they staged this circus and instructed Haye to buk en bekruip while throwing the odd punch cos it's the only way - Valuev has never been taken down...
They should have given it to the last man standing.

I'm pissed off that the fight wasn't live on dstv. Its gets all this media coverage and then its not shown.

didnt expect that result, esp after Haye punched out the head of a cardboard cut out of Valuev during a press conference 2 weeks back.

+1

It is one thing to tire an opponent as part of bringing him down ala Ali, but to just run is exactely what is wrong with boxing.

If that guy was aiming on hitting me in the face I would run too !

His fist is bigger than Hayes head !

Sadly the fight was not pretty but it was effective from haye and honestly valuev did not really try and counter his movement.

I prefer haye, cocky arrogant but that is honestly better than boring valuev.

tbf given that valuev hardly landed any punches didn't help him. so as jim watts and the other fella were sayign on the commentary, can you really give a guy that is shuffling forward the points for a round where he has landed none, and the opponent has landed the most effective 2 or 3 shots in the round?

having seen the fight, i think the result could have gone either way but can understand why the judges went with hayes. valuev, while going forward, showed little aggression and effectiveness.
