Fair, I was just hoping to get an answer on where the " it does not matter since even more incompetent people will be appointed" is coming from, that is why I asked for their opinion on recently appointed boards, seems it is just the usual negativity then. I would have understood if they put it the way you did.

But according to you and Ambrose it does not matter since they will just appoint even more incompetent people, so what are you going to take and from where if it has always been a foregone conclusion that even more incompetent people will be appointed?

I wouldn't say it is incompetence. It is probably just more a lack of action, and decision making. I saw more laziness and politicking than incompetency when dealing with government than anything else. These organisations are also bogged down by so much bureaucracy, they have to consult everyone and their grandmothers to get anything done. Everyone has to have a say, and there has to be a committee for everything. To achieve anything in government, you need to have a resolve of steel, and need to constantly cut through the BS. After a while, it can really break any good person down to the point of apathy.

No need to apologise, at least you answered unlike the others, thank you. Whose track record are you using? Zuma's, Ramaphosa's the ANC government or Rob Davies'?

Going by SAA/Post Office/Eskom/SABC etc... we just get the ****tier ones. So I'm negative.. till they prove me wrong.

Let me ask you, which board went from Zero to Hero in the last year or 2/4/5?

Would you describe Jabu Mabuza as ****tier? or JB Magwaza? you are allowed to be negative but don't you think it is better to base your negativity on sound reasoning? Just saying "even more incompetent people will be appointed" without any consideration to anything is just puzzling, assuming someone to be incompetent till they prove you wrong is just unfair don't you think? e.g Mabuza did well at Telkom, so well that he is currently serving as a Chairperson for both Telkom and Eskom, but using your logic he is incompetent until he proves you wrong at Eskom? how do you guys define incompetence, i don't know him therefore he is incompetent?

No zero to hero as yet, just people doing what they are paid to do. Telkom is doing okay, I was impressed with the SABC board from the interim to the present, they have done well, the new appointments in top management inspires much confidence. I have never taken enough interest in the post Office to know what is happening there. Eskom, when was the new board appointed? just before Zuma was kicked out of office, they inherited a mess just like the SABC board, I will give them time to do what they have to do, much better than assuming a whole bunch of people who are highly qualified and experienced to be incompetent, but that is just me.

Except your opinion is fact! Every state owned or majority state owned company is a POS, with NO exceptions. I heard somebody actually had the balls to mention Telkom as "doing well" :crylaugh:

Telkom is at least profitable

Even the CSIR is not immune to the ANC :erm:
