Daytime Running Lights (DRL)

Mmmm are those legal?
Hid headlights?
Your drl lights have to be 30cm from the ground.

Overkill in my opinion.

The night pic is just hecticly overexposed dont worry :D. The LED's looks similar to those u see on the road and the headlights are normal halogen bulbs and not HID. I just installed Philips diamond vision bulbs, they are much whiter. I didnt want to have yellow headlights and white DRL's. The DRL kit is also Philips, it connects to the battery + and -. Plug and play, it has a nifty little relay box that sense when the car is switched on and off which does the same for the LED's connected. Very cool and easy to install, no need to cut up the car or wires or anything like that.

Putting HID bulbs into a housing that use reflectors and not lenses is braindead. You blind oncoming cars and the output is less than what u would get from halogen bulbs, thats why i just put in white bulbs.

I know other countries have regulations about placement of the DRL's, I dont know that SA has a 30cm restriction, where did u come up with that if i may ask ?
