Thats not all. Was fully kitted - Wanted to test a grenade....popped the pin, pressed G instead of holding G. Grenade was dropped, thought of picking it up and throwing it. Needless to say picked it up and blew myself up

Nope. Playing on servers with ping of 180.

That actually reminds me.

Was playing one evening and heard a guy calling me. Got freaked out ran to the roof and closed the door. Fired a few shot to attract zombies.
Just heard the guy cussing.

Trust no one.

Once you get used to how the game works its massive fun, in my opinion. (Dont get attached to your char or gear)

Yes you do have an edge if you have awesome gear but if you cant use that gear a maniac with a knife or cheap hunting rifle will kill you.

So what's the best thing to do, be stealthy or call of duty mad or strategic trap setting team playing?

To be honest, answer is not that simple. I would think team play.
But then that Tope guy ****s everyone up almost single handely.

Solo play have worked for me aka stealthy. But I think it worked cause the guys I played against couldn't shoot.

Are zombies actually a threat now?

This was my main gripe with the mod and the game when I still played. Once you figure out that zombie AI is completely trash and easily exploitable, the game devolves into a PvP game, which got boring after a while.

If the zombies were an actual threat people would think twice about lighting someone up in a city or town. As it was, if you had a gun you could do whatever you want. There were no downsides to using a gun since even if you attracted some zombies, you could just avoid them or make them glitch into buildings.
