DC++ (p2p) SA hubs needed

Is there any new developments for P2P in South Africa. Since local bandwith is cheap I can't see the problem.

Yes, many new developments. However ye olde news servers still work perfectly well. Not p2p but still very good!

indeed yes. this month i've opted to rather try find a .nzb of a new torrent i see upload instead of downloading via p2p. faster in most cases.
and because the whole idea of p2p is to give a bit more than you take, you have the option to help seed the file at a later time

I still think its selfish, if you want to download, you must upload equaly.
See this is what I like about the internet. You will always find someone whose opinion is the same, completely different or somewhat different than mine, yours ect.

I personally don't think it is selfish to not upload while you download. However based on that fact I also stay away from communities and protocols that expect you to share or upload to be able to download. However not everyone that think the same as me do the same and I guess there in lie the problem. Personally I'd much rather just use a usenet service like giganews and be done with my downloads simple and easy and no one nagging me to upload anything.

There is also another reason to my opinion. Most people (while not in SA but overseas) that have been fined for p2p downloading media, were also the same people making use of technologies that uploads the content, which is what they got fined for.

The reason I want a SA hub is for speed reasons as well as using my local bandwidth.
Speed is limited to the upload of the other guy. Most DC hubs are filled with people using adsl, so the upload is slow & you'll get no speed benefit.

Thanks HavocXphere
I disagree, if there are a lot of users, with the same file, all of their upload speed is amassed to give you damn good speeds, come check it out if you don't believe me,, If it's a rare file, sure you limited to the persons speed, however, i find it faster than torrents, and its something extra you can have running, while you doing other things like using news, etc. Also its a community, im not bothered by ratio, ie how much you upload, you can download as much as you like, all i ask is for a minimum of 25gbs shared, The hub is sitting at around 40tb's of data, Also upload slots are limited as well therefore a 4meg with 2 slots gives around 30k speed now if 6 people have file with 4meg, yep that's pretty good speeds.
If you'd like to check it out http://www.circle-of-fire.co.cc is the site which will inform you about everything you need to know.

Pls i challenge you give it a bash, then come back and write what you want, Thanks

Yes, paid International news servers are the way to go. See my sig for details.

If you can't afford that... then hook yourself up with someone who has uncapped and leech off him.

Many of us who have uncapped are very willing to share.
