DC Suicide Squad

I may dislike Leto but I think he'll nail the Joker. Interesting to note Hardy is back for another DC film.

It's Deadshot, not Deathstroke.
And I wouldn't take anything from 9gag as confirmed in any way.

Also don't recall the Joker ever having anything to do with the squad, except for indirectly via Harley Quinn

I think they mean that he will portray the Joker in the Suicide Squad movie, not necessarily as a member of the squad.

After watching Assault on Arkham, I'm pretty amped for this.

Why does it matter?

1) It'll be weird seeing him play some a bad guy/anti-hero.
2) It's highly probable that Joker is the main character here and it made me think of this story of why he refused Django.

“Django wasn’t the lead, so it was like, I need to be the lead," Smith said. "The other character was the lead!” The "other character" that Smith is referencing is bounty hunter King Schultz, played by Christoph Waltz, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of the character. Waltz, it should be noted, won Best Supporting Actor at the 85th annual Academy Awards, a role that many felt was a lead.

“I was like, ‘No, Quentin, please, I need to kill the bad guy!’” Smith said, spoiling the film. As a result of Smith's passing, Jamie Foxx took on the role of Django.

You know who would make a good Amanda Waller? Oprah Winfrey :D

You get a neckbomb! He gets a neckbomb! EVERYONE gets a neckbomb.

Note: that was shamelessly stolen from gamefaqs comics board.

Well... Deadshot is an assassin and the best assassin there will ever be. His only "true" skill is that he completes a contract when paid, thus he always collects the bounty. The only person he is unwilling to assassinate is Bruce Wayne/Batman even though he has the contract to eliminate him, he opted to engage in a never-ending rivalry, though they work together now and then (much like Batman and The Punisher).

Then again, both DC and Marvel acknowledged that their movies has its own universe and that some core components in the comics may be altered to suit the audience.

1. True. Though, in Hancock and I Am Legend, he was more of the anti-hero type.
2. Deadshot has been the field team leader of the Suicide Squad before. Considering that the films usually mix up different facets from different comic ages, they could be going with that approach.

Bane, ag Tom Hardy, is Rick Flag, though the original leader it was only his son which took lead over the Suicide Squad. Deadshot was also team lead when the Flag's was gone, perhaps Rick will die (sacrifice himself, as per the comics) which will result in Deadshot taking over the lead. But ja... will have to wait for the trailer.
