De Ruyter's load-shedding disaster

Well if he's not there to save the sinking ship then what the hell is he there to do? As CEO he has the power and authority to get rid of the non performing managers if that's what it takes to right that upside down ship.

I like that you can guys can see the nuances and difficulties in managing Eskom now that de Ruyter is CEO
Got some good points and yes it's his duty to do that. But if every time you make adjustments he gets called racist I mean what is your counter argument 'No I am not' ye that don't work. And who backs him? No one so it's one man against his whole crew of crooks. Also I do think the fact the government does not back him with his decision and makes it public he is one man alone.

Also with what's been happening in my area with public figures getting assassinated for doing good or changing things (lawyers, councilors, police chiefs ect) I assume if he makes too big adjustments with absolutely no backing won't be surprised if he is found dead too..... Ye the country we live in.... Do good get killed.

He has the power and authority of any other CEO deployed to a parastatal, i.e. he operates within the confines of political will and not automatically towards what makes business sense.

And when that argument gets made with other CEO's it gets dismissed as just because BEE appointment. I once pointed out CEO's who did well after leaving SOEs as an example that they are actually competent but it got brushed aside. So, the point stands.

That's not the argument being made here, nor is it the topic though is it?

Not true, how was he able to get rid of Tshitangano despite the racism accusations if no one backs him? De Ruyter enjoys a support from government that no other previous CEO did, instead of being supported they were actively sabotaged by government.

I do wonder why De Ruyter gets an explanation when previous CEO's get summarily dismissed for cadreship. Not that you'd admit it, but white people here have bent over backwards to explain his failures. All the talks of scape goat, token whitey, etc shows the trying too hard that you seem determined to ascribe to me coming from your side. And mind you as I said to you the other day I don't think it's all his fault, Eskom is just beyond saving because of the ANC.
Why is the terms CORRUPTION and blatant THEFT not being used. Cadreship is a mere blip on the radar.

Are you really this stupid...or is this deliberate??

Do you SERIOUSLY not know whatt the term " to sabotage someone's efforts" mean??
That's what I thought, stop talking rubbish, next time you open your mouth and spew wild allegations make sure you have proof to back it up.

Which previous CEO was
were actively sabotaged by government.
The rot started after Dames did a good job, when the first Gupta crony was appointed: Matjila.

Matona did a good job after him, but during his tenure the silo collapse took place at Majuba and this did not go down well with the newly formed War Room. He was suspended by Zola Tsotsi...a Board Member.

Then Molefe arrived, mister State Capture himself. He resigned in the interests of "good corporate governance", meaning he ran away before Madonsela's could fuk him up proper.

The Koko arrived to only enrich his family, his daughter to be exact. He was cleared in 2017, but in 2018 he was suspended again for gross negligence" and "serious acts of misconduct".
He ran away aka resigned Feb 2018.

Then Johnny Dladla arrived, but he was replaced by Sean Maritz based on a new rotational CEO role, determined by the ESKOM Board.
BUT it came to lite Dldla was removed by Zethembe Khoza, a former ESKOM Board chair, because Dladla was helping expose the Trillian thievery.

Sean Maritz stayed on, but got exposed for appointing a friend at a huge salary and not declaring that interest.
He was suspended and resigned aka ran away.

Then it was Hadebe that become Interim CEO. He did a good job there and recovered a schitload of money from McKinsey.

Then it was Mabuza that was apointed for three months as Interim CEO. The EFF has said Mabuza's dual role goes against sound governance principles. The Institute of Directors of Southern Africa has also warned that Mabuza's appointment falls short of the the King Code's guidelines for corporate governance.

So there you have it...where did the Government interfere? ESKOM is it's own biggest enemy with thievery, corruption, factions and infighting being the biggest cause of it's demise .

You're literally to stupid and to grammatically challenged to even start to comprehend what I am talking about.

I know a 100 times more about ESKOM than you ever will you numpty. And the irony of YOU using the word "sabotage", after you got your panties in a knot, when you couldn't comprehend the different and proper ways of using the word, in context.

As you were...

OR what??

PS.
It's: ..."make sure you have the proof to back it up"... that way your frothing and empty threats, make more sense.

At this point in time the person here who knows the most information about Eskom is @Lupus, not you unfortunately. Your ego is unusually large, which is why you are on my ignore list- however it was necessary to give you a slap tonight as you deserve it.

Handy dandy tip- compensation for a small cock is not easy on a forum. Its much nicer to go to the Toyota dealership and order a Fortuner and use that to intimidate smaller cars and push people off the road

Middle management sabotaging efforts more and more....equipment that hasn't been maintained for years and years getting worse by the day.

Blame De Ruyter......it is HIS fault now that ESKOM is a disaster. He inherited a cancer patient already on it's deathbed.

AA, BEE and the ethnic cleansing of competent technical staff as well as seasoned leadership and management finally takes its toll. It was only a matter of time.
