A ringing bell has some charm to it, also as an instrument a bell has a pretty nice timbre, not totally terrible. You cant go wrong investing in De Waterkant. Its very trendy and plenty people are buying and renovating in the area. If you can find something you can afford go for it! I certainly would however it is way out of my budget currently.
The prices are crazy, though. R12M for a 2 or 3 bedroom double story house. The gorgeous renovated ones you mentioned.

are you suggesting prices are going to fall? rental yields will catch up, as I've said in previous threads my rental increases I'm keeping at 10%
