Can someone please give me their perspective on this game - thoughts, likes, dislikes, etc?

Storyline entertaining? Is it engrossing? FUN?

This coming from an non-FPS gamer and avid RPG gamer, by the way, who enjoyed games like Bioshock, FEAR and er... some others (guessing Doom 1 and 2, Duke Nukem and the like don't count )

Story line is engrossing. So far there are only 2 things i don't like - Movement is a bit erratic (I think this was done on purpose to add to the horror genre). Secondly the fact I can't get past this one part (been stuck for almost 2 weeks).

It's a highly adrenaline inducing game (ie I actually get the shakes when playing and scream in fright).

What I also like is you don't just run around shooting the aliens, in parts you actually have to think to solve puzzles (which was missing in Crysis).

on a side note.... what is it with game developers, sheesh. I know majority of gamers are male, but for heavens sake, the game hasn't even started yet and you have to look at these humongous b00bies .

I watched a clip of Dead Space on GameSpot and the chick in the intro on the ship sounded like some blond bimbo trying her luck at voice acting. Actually forgot what she said that made me think that

Thanks for your response, Xenophon I really want to give it a shot. Once in while I enjoy a good FPS... But I need a storyline otherwise I get bored 20-odd minutes into it... Like I did in Far Cry...

I finished it on the ps3 loved it deserves a strong 9 out of 10 action scary all the way well done EA

I have been playing Dead Space for a few days now, on chapter 4, and I must say that it is pretty damn good so far. The camera angle adds so much more tension to the gameplay.

A little less than 900MB. You have to register first tho. Go read the COD5 thread. But read the whole thing first. There's a few issues with game. I've been having a blast tho.

After realizing I've been a complete blonde , I restarted the game and collected more cash & weapons. finally managed it past the stage and am currently on Chapter 7

Whew. Just finished the game last night. I'm glad it's over - was like a 14 hour long horror movie.

I give it a 9/10. Very good.

As soon as I was done I figured I would play it through again, one hour in I realized I didn't have the mental fortitude or the emotional willingness to endure all that tension and angst all over again. BRILLIANT GAME, one of my fave's for the year, but definitely one I am glad is over!
