I finally made up my mind to buy Dead Space end of this month instead of Far Cry 2 or (forgot the name:o but it was also a sequel), But now I read on the web there's no multiplayer for Dead Space:eek:.

anybody else getting it? or suggestions for other interesting FPS?
 
Dead space is a 3rd person survival horror game with strategic dismemberment.
Far Cry 2, GTA IV Pc. That's my list...
 
in other words... shooting an abomination of a space creature in the stomach 60 times wont kill it... you have to shoot off all its limbs, and its head and cut it in to billions of pieces... and then you might get away with nothing more than an arm chasing you..

gonna grab myself a copy this weekend. Looking forward to it :P
 
Hey buddy i have BOTH Dead Space and Far Cry 2, it depends entirely on your "smaak", Far Cry 2 has the whole sandbox thing going on, and ya its a massive game, be warned I hope you like driving, alot, but I have to say Dead Space really grips you tight! The only downer about Dead Space is that I cant play it alone, that game takes scary to a whole new level, think Res Evil 4 + Doom + Lost in Space, then you have a good idea what its about!

If you are going to buy original, hold your money for Gears of War 2, Game of the Year 2008 right there, I got it two days ago, finished it the same day. Yea. Its brilliant. Oh and in terms of replayability, it has bot matches and Horde mode which are awesome! But im not gonna spoil the features for you :D

Nah Xeno, I'm getting Dead Space today and maybe Far Cry2 later. The only issue with Dead Space is that the PC controls are kinda sluggish. Something to do with making the PC version a bit more difficult cause we get to use a mouse. :rolleyes:

But from what I heard.... take Doom3 multiply it with F.E.A.R and add some The Thing and you get Dead Space. :eek::eek::eek:
 
24.10 : OK, I got it. So far I'm not too impressed. As Toxin said, the controls are a nightmare and the design looks "cheap", but maybe that's just initial impression :p.

Edit 26.10 : It is actually a stunning game. The controls are still horrible, but you get used to it :p. I think I'm addicted :o

I would hold my money for gears of war2 if there was one for pc coming. At the moment am holding my money for the new gta and new cod5
 
Just got my copy of Dead Space on saturday morning and played through the first 3 chapters last night... ALONE!

All i can say is that this game is 5X more affective with the lights off and the 5.1 turned up!!!

Just played through chaper 4 *thumbs way UP*and without spoiling anything did any1 else have a hard time with the "Astroids" level?
