Dead torrents Mweb

Nothing wrong with my gaming play Wow with no issues it's just torrents

The moment something is affected, people post about it.

When gaming was suffering about a month ago, various people posted about it.

Now, it's just you. I hope that tells you something? It's either your line, equipment, or game/server that is a problem. And just because another ISP works fine, does not mean there is not possibly a line/equipment fault.

Otherwise just leave MWEB if you think they're so bad, pay the R45ish per month to retain your emails and be done with it.

I suspect there's more to why you're staying than just email, though.

Loyalty maybe? Been with MWEB since I got a free start up CD at the Rand Show for 56k Dial up account.

I don't really understand that. You benefit in no way from loyalty. You should surely go where's best. If you believe you'll get better elsewhere, then go?

In all honesty, it's a very difficult decision for me. I do believe in "better the devil you know". If I look at the threads on MyBB, all ISP's have issues. Is it really that difficult for their "specialists" to investigate the issue and provide me with a solution? All I get is, "we will look into it". They log calls for 18:00 or later when I dont have issues with my game. It's mostly in core business hours that I cant connect at all, except last night, when connection was impossible even at 10 PM. Mostly after 17:00 and over weekends when there is no shaping, I can play without problems.

Sit down genius!! :)

It will help with your decision. I would put my modem in bridge mode, and then set up various dial-up ADSL [trial] accounts in order to test properly, without 5 minute breaks between changing ADSL accounts in the modem.

I use uTorrent and use the programs scheduler to start my downloads at 10pm until 5am and does about 4 gigs in that period on my 2mb line. Running at maximum speed!

Lol, "must be your line" and "must be your equipment". Why does this sound so familiar? Oh right, textbook OpenWeb fanboi excuse. I don't even care what ISP people use, it's just funny to see how hard PostmanPot is fanboing Mweb lately. He sounds almost exactly like the OpenWeb fanbois, iJack and cableguy, of yore. :D

Mweb can do no wrong, and when they do wrong, it's almost certainly the customer's fault. Lol.

Honestly I'm pretty happy with Mweb. I get around 360kb/s during the day, max line speed at night. 4MB line.
I use around 400gb per month.

If you were more active in the MWEB thread, you'd know that even some technically-minded people have been convinced that MWEB is to blame, but actually found out that there was a minor fault on their line. I've helped them myself and it goes to show other ISPs are also affected by this.

There's no comparison to OW. This is problem-solving, not blame-shifting due to poor performance for a vast number of subscribers.
