Dead UPS Batteries

Hi all,

I have about 7 dead normal UPS batteries (600va type)

They don't recharge, they are dead!

So... what do I do with them?

I don't just want to throw them away - can I take them anywhere and have them recycled or what?

Take them to a battery centre (like the ones that replace car batteries etc). They recycle the lead etc. They might even give you discount on new ones

Yup, need to be recycled, some battery place should give you scrap value for them.

Go to gate motor shops they sell those exact same batteries. The cheapest I found was R125 incl vat
