Dealership prices

Dammit woman! Stop it, we're not buying a new car for you just because you like the colour.

Parts prices at official dealerships seem to differ vastly. The parts salesmen also seems to be able to offer around 30% discount. Just ask for it. I've found this to be the case for VW, Opel, Ford and a few more.

Also, car manufactures don't make the wear and service parts themselves. Fluids, filters, spark plugs, pads, disks, etc are made by Castrol, Bosch, ATE, etc and then put into a VW cardboard box. So get the same thing from midas for half the price from the same component manufacturer.

Just imagine when they get away without giving you that 30% discount, where does the money go to to?
In my case a part that cost R4200 at the dealer costs R258 at GW, how can that be? A big scam that us going on there.

PS if you not interested or my threads bore you please don't respond to this thread please.

I have quick question why do car dealerships have different prices/quotes. I called Honda Rustenburg ask the lady the price for a spoiler, she said it's R1900. I called Honda Midrand, Centurion and Zambezi all three gave me the same price R1630. Early this year Honda Rustenburg told me it's R1630 now bit surprised its R1900 but other branches its still R1630.

My colleague just told me he has same problem with Toyota.
