My package that was posted mid Feb apparently went missing.
Customer service very helpful and they are going to re-sent the items.
 
I have also ordered from DX a few times. Customs have always been an annoyance but other than that it's very good value.

It'll show up in 3 months time, strapped to the back of a homeless man who was told to deliver it from China by walking ;)

Or it was pilfered in South Africa. I documented in a previous Dx thread regarding packages that was lost and also another that arrived sealed, but the item was not inside. A SA registered mail sticker did make its was inside the sealed package though.

I explained to DX that my item was received without the part, told them that it must have been stolen in SA. They sent me a replacement still. The other time with an ebay seller I did not receive my item after 5 weeks, he sent a replacement as well. It should go without saying that paid it square when both turned up over time.
 
My results never seem to change - if I add the 'dropship service' or not. 99% of my stuff flies through without a problem. Customs have only held back my packages a few times and they only adjusted the value of the package by a few $ once.

Other than that, DX is always worth it. These days I always check if I cannot get it cheaper at eaby first though. Ooh, and I love it when I forget about what I ordered. Happens all the time with my ebay packages at least. You never know what is arriving! :D

Edit: Also, don't forget to check out www.cfind.net for a price check before ordering something anywhere else.

I have been waiting 5+ weeks for my latest order. This is quite slow compared to my past purchases from DX, even when they were slow to ship out. This time they shipped out quite quickly, but I can't track the China Post number in South Africa.

What is the latest date of packages that other forumites received? Mine was shipped out 25 June, I am suspecting loss.
 
Mine was shipped on 12,19 & 21 June 2012.

Still waiting for all 3.
 
Jaa i am waiting about 2 months at the moment have a few orders i am waiting for .
Used to take about a month now about 2 and a half months realy frustrating waiting this long ,
I f#$king hate waiting so long for new gadgets.
 
most delays are in SA - take a look at the management or lack thereof at SAPO and it will make sense...
 
Sad, but true story.

I have 2 orders that shipped this week, probably another 6 before they pitch.
 
got my DX package that was ordered on 5Jul on Friday - took 5 weeks and no customs was paid
 
Maybe unrelated but a few guys on the Xbox forum ordered a few games from The Hut in the UK and they are waiting longer than usual.

I think it is a SAPO problem.
 
Definitely something up at SAPO or whatnot. I order stuff from eg. this bloke in Hong Kong and his packages tend to arrive ~9 working days after he sends them. I received another package from him today that was posted on the 19th of July already. In the mean while I'm waiting for like 9 other ebay packages that were shipped before that even. I hope they arrive :(
 
A purchase on 15th June from an ebay seller, I received this message on 7 July : ""Sorry, the logistics company noted us, your product was lost during the shipping/. " and I was offered a refund or resend of the item. Now I am thinking train accidents, fire, flood, Somalia pirates, crashing planes, truck hijackings, and thieving South Africans. 5h1t happens.

Hopefully it is a unrelated incident to my Dx order.
