Dear Afrihost,

Have you fired all of your customer support staff?

Or have you simply stopped giving a damn about your customers?

I've been waiting for a reply to my ticket #GYQ-777-25655 for nearly two weeks and I haven't heard a peep. I'd like to reiterate what I wrote in my last e-mail to you yesterday: if you fail to respond in a timely manner that allows me to make a final decision on whether I'm going to cancel my RAIN LTE before the next billing period sets in, I will dispute vehemently my obligations to pay for another month of PATHETIC service.

Regards,
Another unhappy Afrihost customer.

They have been losing a lot of tickets lately.

My last one also disappeared into the void never to be heard from again.

I'm really sorry about that. It looks like we were engaging with you and the team had escalated this to IS for resolution up until the 12th. And then seems like we went radio silent.

I've escalated this to the support manager on duty now and they will respond to you urgently.

Meanwhile, I've just been invoiced for this:

We're definitely reporting all client feedback to the guys at Rain to improve everyone's experience. :) I can see that AfriMan has been chatting to one of Support managers to help with your case.

I'm very interested to know why my traffic's being routed through Jhb as when I first got this SIM, the closest server was in Cape Town and the speeds were very good.

The routing sometimes would change based on server that you have automatically connected to. Sometimes DNS can also play a factor in this.

Since both the Johannesburg and Cape Town servers are local the difference between the two would be marginal and would not effect your over all experience. Yes, I know you will be able to see it on trace route, but a couple of MS here or there will not effect how you stream and so forth. ^v

Thanks for the info AfriNatic.

Is there any other updates on this AfriMan, AfriFella?

What a pleasant surprise when I got home today!

Is this what I should expect to see from now on?
