We really only use DSTVnow for Sport.
Well, I do. I do not really know what the wife watches, but are also experiencing the same issue.

Not the app's fault.

Latest online foolishness - tried accessing their Box Office (BO) section this morning, it's been "upgraded", and now you can't get in unless signed in... which I refuse to do unless in need of personal options!

But this despite the fact that BO is also for non-subscribers.......

Idiots!!

Went to have a look see...seems they are finally integrating Box Office into DSTV streaming site and hopefully soon the apps. Since there is no Box Office app this is a welcome move I'd say

Improvements are fine, but how would you suppose those non-subscribers who use the BO service must continue to do so if they don't want an account of any sorts?

In my case - will NOT allow them to track my browsing interests.
Given their endless messing up of what's available, yet another solution handicap.

Total chaos yesterday again. BO still available for me. Reminded me that I must use up my credit there before I finally healing away from DSTV. Prob 1 movie hire left.

It will be available with your DSTV streaming login details and if you don't have they will force you to create a free DSTV Connect ID for free version of DSTV streaming. That will boost their customer numbers in turn...

Don't know what platform you are on but Itunes / Apple TV movies is a much better alternative...

Others will say no too. They've tried things like this before.

Could be, but I seldom source online. I've still got what I need from this lot, even if delivered retardedly.

Trying to watch QI last night at 20h00 on BBC Brit (Ch.120) with the DSTVNow app on my Samsung Tablet was a bust - EVERY 4 minutes or so - up popped the 'Whoops, Something Has Gone Wrong!" message, with the dreaded PER1 error code displayed - then you had to tap on RETRY to get back in again - 4 minutes later - SAME STORY AGAIN - after 4 such interruptions over a quarter of an hour, I just gave up with trying to watch QI... I will watch the repeat on my Android box - hopefully it does not suffer the same problem as well...

Don't know what was more embarrising, the fact that a team from Italy floored the best SA had to sent over (as the Bulls are so strong and will definitely win) or the fact that streaming the game on a 100/100 fibre line connected via ethernet with constant quality drops and even buffering? How is this even possible??

My brother - who is the primary DSTV Premium subscriber that I piggy-back off with DSTVNow - is having issues with his PVR (an old pre-Explora model) for about 2 months now, when trying to access BoxOffice - I can see BoxOffice on his DSTVNow profile when accessing it through Chrome on my PC, with all the movies listed there, but how does he actually access it via his PVR menus?

My brother says when he does that - it comes up with a E02 error - 'No BoxOffice Titles Found'.
Sounds like either a config or last tuner signals reception error. He'll need senior help. Hardware issue also possible.

It is a typical BS error generated by DSTVs broken system. It was only a matter of time before their normal BS spread to all their platforms. They will never learn.

The issue is you get that error when you have the "streaming only" package from DSTV too. That means you are basically paying the full price for DSTV streaming but you can't watch certain shows on DSTV streaming because of that error. I'm not sure if the error relates copyrights for streaming or what but really pissing me off.

It doesn't happen that often but I still expect to have full access if I'm paying the full price for the "streaming package"

The only thing I can say is, it is going to get worse. DSTVs paranoia about piracy, copyright protection and keeping their suppliers happy is going to see more and more of this nonsense for their streaming services.
20 years of dealing with them on their sat services and decoders guarantees that is what is going to happen.
