Dear earth passenger...

No princess....go ahead..thread gone to schit anyway
Never posted this with the intention as breaking news...just a reminder of how brilliant this planet is, specifically its gravitational strength.

Gravity is actually a pretty weak and pathetic force. But the planet is an amazing machine.

Gravity is one of the most destructive forces there can be.

subjective comment right there
...erm, no. Gravity is a relatively weak force compared to something like strong nuclear force. It's just the shear scale of Earth that makes its effect so "massive". But then I'm no physicist.

Not compared to falling in love with a woman hell bent on sucking the life out of you it isn't.

Not subjective. The word you're looking for is relative. It is relatively weak in comparison with other fundamental forces. Ironically, it is the kinematic effects of inertial reference frames that describe gravity in general relativity, and also explain the lack of noticeable force on one's body through the orbital spins. Gravity is great, but it's not the reason we don't notice the earth's rotation and orbit...

I think you should talk to OGroteKoning, he got a couch. :D

You should learn to explain yourself better....you cannot post..."gravity is actually a pretty weak and pathetic force"..and not say in relation to what. Compared to the force with which I'm pushing against the wall....gravity as a force, is astronomical

You're right with the subjective explanation...wrong word choice.
I mentioned gravity as the reason we're not flying off this ball like Spud's poo flew against the wall from his bed sheet..in Trainspotting....not the reason for us not noticing

Well technically you raising your arm....nevermind

Well technically you raising your arm....nevermind
technically my arm is attached to my body which in turn is stuck to the ground...cause gravity....besides how long would my elevated arm be able to resist gravity?....never mind

OK Mr. Newton, why don't you take a fridge magnet and hover it over a paperclip.
