@ Cell C representative. I am in Auckland Park, and I nowadays connect to the internet without even expecting it to work,
For the last week in the evenings when I get home, It will connect but I cannot load any pages including speed test or else it'll load but so slowly that it timeouts.
Only in the late part of the night closer to midnight does it work an then suddenly at a fast speed.
Whereas a few weeks ago it should work fine most of the time at a good speed, now I consider the speed stick absolutely worthless.
A month ago I logged a complaint on the cell c website and was called by a cell c representative a few days later. This guy basically said the network was over subscribed and the network would improve due to Upgrades in a month. On the contrary, instead of improving it has degraded to such an extent that it is basically worthless.
Just like your network, your customer service has degraded. An eg of this is that subsequently I have logged further complaints on the site and have yet to be contacted weeks later.
This is no doubt due to Cell C being inundated with customer complaints.
An Cell C cannot use the excuse that is is the customers residence that is the problem due to poor coverage/signal as weeks ago when the network was under-subscribed the very same people were getting fast speeds and a reliable-ish connection. It is extremely obvious that with all other variables remaining the same except for an increase in subscribers to the network, that it is this same over-subscription that is the problem.
I am extremely frustrated and angered by this poor product. I know I am not alone. At the initial stage when Cell C were introducing this offer and people who had just taken it up raved about the fast speeds, there were many people on myBB who maintained that this would not last and that the honeymoon period would end soon after. Unfortunately I did not take heed of this advice. A leopard does not change it spots and Cell C has proved this beyond doubt as their new rebranding is just a sham as the same old crappy service remains.
One question : Howcome MyBB is not writing any follow up articles regarding the current state of the Cell C network? They were quick to write lengthy articles about the Cell C offer and great speeds when it came out, but now we hear nothing
