So. I ordered a line transfer from Telkom,I moved house, and was told that the line should be installed on or about 29/07/2010

I got to my new place, finished moving etc and no line yet, I phone and I am told I need to supply a neighbor telephone number and physical address (spelling was a bit wonky on their side)
Friday I called them, agent stated that the exchange is ready and I will have my line this week.

Today I call them only to be told that there is 'no physical infrastructure'
Dear Telkom you imbeciles.
Shove your **** service up your ass and say goodbye to my services, and my payments (which have been invoiced and paid already in good faith)

Cant even request a ****ing refund
 
Sign up with Amobia if they have coverage in your area. Paid for equipment on Saturday and they installed the Monday. On their 2meg/2gb service for R299 a month and loving it.
 
To be honest - I will even fork out the money to go to Vodascum - I have 3 lines with them and I will cancell them all
Hell - I had a WISP that I can go back to - don't need incoming ports anyway
They where so dilligent in signing me up the first time - and taking my damn money, but now
I called back after posting this, speaking to another consultant - gives me a different story ????

Phone back and demand an escalation ref due to breach of contract as it is a line transfer and they have allocated your ADSL port to someone else.
 
Moggie - I had 2 escalation reference numbers sofar - both occasions I was not called back, or even given the slightest idea what was going on/
I have now received a third one and have given them an ultimatum - I want my line by Thursday, or I cancel all of my services ( R30k++ a month)
