Death Knight FAQ?

Hey guys! I was just wondering about Death Knights and what they do...

If I have a Orc Warlock & when I ding 70, does that now mean when I make my Death Knight, will it automatically be an Orc Death Knight? :confused:

Would I be able to choose the Race of my Death Knight - in other words?

And would the Death Knight have Warlock spells or just general ones for a Death Knight ie. Would a Hunter who makes a Death Knight have a Death Knight with Hunter spells, would a Rogue who makes a DK have a DK with Rogue spells? :confused:

I've been trying to find info, but I haven't found anything yet that clears this up for me...

Pardon the doff questions... I'm knew & generally doff at this hour. :D
 
Put wowwiki under your favourites while you at it...or just home page it :D
Between that and wowhead.com you have all the information you can ever need. Apart from theory crafting ofc...for that you can just use elitistjerks ;)

cant access at work and have a question.

You start at lev 55 - at what level does your profs start - i would think 300 - cause you can only learn profs to 375 at lev 55

I would think they start at 0 like every other new Proff added. It's up to you when and where you will work on them to get them to 375 or 450 after the expansion
 
Orc DK's are currently statistically the best choice for DPS.
It's still a bit of a toss up between them, Belfs and Tauren for Tanking as their Expertise and reduced Stun duration compares very well with the now nerfed Tauren HP increase and the Belf 2% reduction Spell Hit.

I rolled one on the Beta... before all the bugs hit and she got trapped in nothingness :(

Anyway, long story short... the only prof which u dont have to lvl from zero is First Aid, because at 55 u r already getting Runecloth/Mageweave drops and u r not able to go farm linen when u start out. So if memory serves it starts at 300...

You choose all other profs therefore u need to lvl em from zero. I think the biggest pain in the ass one to lvl from zero will be cooking... but since I have 3 toons with cooking maxed I guess my DK can just go without and be fed by her sisters.:cool:

I rolled Draenai as my first char, I thought they would make cool Hunters but the whole Tale, Leg thing got to me. :o

Must say I'm loving my Undead & Orc. Horde areas IMO seem to have more character... Not sure if its just me.
 
I already made a level 1 human to reserve my DK name on my server.

And having an extra trinket slot (human racial) = win.

Nope, you keep your main. All it means is ... you need a lvl 70 or 55 (I forget) In order to qualify for a death knight.

You can make a death knight of any race (in your faction) ... or you can make a totally different one on any realm ... not just the one you have a 70 on.

I used to think you "transform" your existing character into a death knight, but it's not like that.
 
Sigh, [-]if[/-] when i start WoW again, I'll have to delete 1 of my chars... Good bye level 29 lock :p
 
lol @ Option: 2nd account ftw! ;)

SO yeah, to answer the original question: if u have a lvl 55+ toon anywhere on the eu-servers (I spose same on US really) u can create a DK of any race or faction on any other server including yr own provided u have an empty char slot. It doesnt take over yr existing toon :D

The catch comes that u can only have 1 DK per account per server, which I guess isnt really all that much of a catch unless u multi-box and sell power-lvling :p
