Death Knight Screenshots

Ok it seems you have fallen into the most common misconception of how a Deathknight works.

You do not lose a character or convert an existing character into a Deathknight.

In order to create a Deathknight all you need is to have a character of a specific level, I think it's 55 but I can't check from work.

Also, kinky pics.

U serious ?

That means you can roll a Death night as an Alt then and not convert it to one ? If so it's then a quest chain and once completed it allows you to Roll a Death Knight ?

That sounds nice :)

If you have a character above 55 then you can immediately create a death knight that starts in Eastern Plaguelands. No quests no nothing.

oooo ok nice.

Seems to be that it will be the next thing to be all over wow then :(
Would be nice if only selected few could roll it after a hard chain quest or something. But that is just my 2c. On the other side of the coin, I'm rather exited :D

Oh :o Cool, that could work as well :p

Pitbull, your right

To 'unlock' a DK on your account *you can only have 1 per acc/per realm*:
AFAIK, there will b a quest chain at 76-78 where at the end you will be able to create a DK.

After this you can create a lvl 55 any race DK char, that will begin in EPL, with similar mount quests to pallys

I agree, they should really make it epic, somewhat like getting attuned or doing the annoying Lock Mount quests... :)

Ok some clarifications on the DKnight Chain.

You don't need to complete a chain to make the Deathknight. You just create him/her and all it requires is a lvl 55 char already on that account.

However this is where the quest confusion arises, as your new Deathknight you will begin in a Deathknight only starting area and will be required to complete a number of quests that provide the background on why you are not serving Arthas anymore and will allow you to venture out into Azeroth.

Hmm apparantly Wrath of the lich king is in alpha stages of testing. You can download it somewhere 2.5gb. But in order to play you have to be invited by Blizzard who give you a beta key :(.

I read on a site that you can change your realmlist and patch files and your wow will download WOTLK (alpha).

Got 1st patch notes:

Death Knights are playable, although the starting quests and talents are not complete.
Spells and Talents past 70 are available for the Druid, Mage, Priest, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior classes
You can head to Northrend via Menethil Harbor and Theramore for the Alliance, or Undercity and Ogrimmar for the Horde
The Howling Fjord, Borean Tundra, Grizzly Hills, and Dragonblight are the zones currently open for testing.
Utgarde Keep, Utgarde Pinnacle, The Nexus, and Drak'tharon Keep are currently available for testing.
If they already have talents for quite a few classes past 70, it would seem to suggest that they are further along on the expansion then we think. Hopefully, if these patch notes ring true, we'll hear about those talents soon. You can read the full Patch notes behind the jump.

on Btgames site the Release date has slipped to July TBA.
So that would seem about right..
Run beta in June and see what happens

LOL heard a rumour that release would be november 2008

Quoted from MMO-Champ
WotLK scheduled to be released in second half of 2008
Vivendi's released a press release with their earnings for the first quarter of 2008. Even if that's probably not interesting for the average WoW player, there is a very, very instructive comment related to WoW.

According to this press release, Wrath of the Lich King will be released before the end of 2008. You've probably been reading it for the last few days, but if you didn't check it yet you can read the WotLK preview released during the weekend.

WOTLK is still a couple of months away. Its only now in alpha stages. Then will go beta in a month or so. Then over to PTR for a while. And once they done there will it be released.

But who knows if they release it next month I will be happy lol, getting bored.

BTW Who has seen the new mounts Combat Mounts FTW. Fight in air woot.
