Next week, from 19 to 22 February, the world’s leading experts in the low carb lifestyle will be at the CTICC to discuss the widespread increase of obesity and diabetes and how our traditional view on a low fat diet has influenced this.

The Old Mutual Health Convention will provide the platform for this exchange and Tim Noakes is hopeful that a few of his critics, who have been very active in the press, will stand opposite other medical professionals and debate the facts.

The 16 experts who are traveling, mostly at their own expense, to speak on a range of topics from cardiology to child psychology include Gary Taubes, Dr Andreas Eenfeldt, Dr Eric Westman, Christine Cronau, Dr Ann Childers, Jimmy Moore, Dr Jason Fung and Dr Robert Cywes.

In the video below, co-author of The Real Meal Revolution and convention partner Jonno Proudfoot, interviews Noakes about the significance of the event and how this vision came to life with the help of Karen Thomson, founder of HELP, a sugar addiction lifestyle programme, and the author of Sugar Free.

The idea of public debate to start the 4 day programme, is one that is sure to generate interest. The gauntlet has be thrown down, now are there any willing to accept?
