December Vacation

Mauritius is great! Can't compare it to Moz though, as I haven't been.. We decided to rather do Mauritius but in April..

In the last 3 yrs we have been four times, and each time the drinks have gone up by almost 50% It is shocking really..

My mom went on a boat cruise and had the same problem with drinks..

R30 for a 200ml coke, and R30 for a cup of coffee that YOU MAKE in your room (yes those little sachets things)

Hosehead, we have also stayed at Coralia :D Really enjoyed it! Easy bus ride to the Super U too..
Edit: In re-reading that I realise that you meant Mont Choisy the area, not the Coralia Mont Choisy hotel..

:D Done the Coralia. Probably the cheapest and best value for money hotel and as you say near the supermarket...
There's a bunch of self catering houses behind the coralia and in the general vicinity. Nice little hotel...

Hi

Still out there trying to get the best value for my money.

What do you think of this deal, anyone been on it before?

11 day cruise from DBN - Reunion islands - Mauritius - Dbn for R13 000.00 pp.

Lets look at this - Im getting 11 days on the ocean - a superior inside cabin, all meals included, entertainment for 11 days (dinners, concerts , shows) 3 nights in Mauritius a day in the reunion island.

I live in JHB so I will prob fly to dbn (not crazy to drive down during the xmas period)
xtra R2500

Total looking at 15000pp?

PS: this is aboard the Rhapsody

What do you think?

Pray we dont get sea sick on the 1st day - what a waste it will be!

LOVELY!

We are paying R14K for only 7 nights in Mru..

Make sure you take sea sick tablets that don't make you drowsy.. We did a cruise to the Portuguese Islands, and I slept the entire time.. :(

Where did you get this deal? 3 nights in a hotel in Mru?

Got it through Starlight cruises!

Nope will be staying in the ship but docked at MRU!

We decided with the Rand being what it is at the moment, we will not go abroad.

So we are going on a loooooong road trip through the Northern Cape, West Coast and on to Namibia.

I have a brilliant idea,

Pay me R 10k and I'll give you guys 2x one way tickets to paradise. I just need to remember where I left my .45

What time of the year did you go? Isn't there lots of rain in Dec/Jan?

Nope. It rained the day we left, 03 Jan... Monsoon season also starts mid Jan.

I might be going to Prague, fingers crossed.
