Decent eMail provider?

eish wena , you using Hmail and not hosted exchange .I use Hmail in my homelab when i want to quickly test email stuff.

It's OX suite. Same software mailbox.org uses.
While they claim it's hosted exchange, it shouldn't be confused with MS exchange.

I want to use my own domain mainly and want to add aliases that I can send and receive from. Who do you recommend? I tried the Google Workspace route but they keep wanting to bill me in euros at 30% or more the dollar advertised price and I honestly can't see value with them. I see others offering low costs of like R40 pm but only for the first year (godaddy). All I want is reliable email using my own domain and about 5 aliases.

All you need to do is:

Purelymail.com - $10 a year
Your Domain
Add the DNS entries, set up mailboxes, connect your devices, and Bob's your uncle.

You can add multiple addresses, multiple domains. Setup a free trial account to test and connect everything, then make the payment after everything works.

Use it myself with some domains. It just works.

If you sign up for Office365 with an Outlook address, you get 100GB in mail storage and 1TB cloud storage (not sure if that includes or excludes the 100GB for email).

Have a look at MX route as well. Very well run for deliverability on transactional mail.
