Decent FPS's anyone?

FEAR series is good, lots of action, some good scares if you're like me and play alone at night hehe.
Mass Effect as a 3rd person, is one the best series of games I've played, the 3 games should(actually must) be played in order, it's very epic. And some RPG elements should have you hooked too.

Fallout all depends on your play-style, very open, just don't spread the skills too thin, Like I've done with games like the Elder Scrolls games I'm like: Oh blacksmithing! OH oh now some dual wielding! Oh wait now some magic! I change my mind a lot!

I was an avid gamer until 5 years ago, am starting to get back into it but am having a hard time finding a decent FPS (Half Life being the high benchmark in my mind). Am an escapist and like a less realistic style game and am a sucker for a decent plot as it unfolds. Fantasy/future settings and their ilk are very relevant to me.

Oh, and because of the limitations of my laptop pre - Crysis specs are a must.

Any suggestions good people?
