Anyone know of online shops that have stock of Sacred 2? I can't seem to find any.

If you find it. Let me know. I also want it but don't want to pay the import price. You can get it from taketwo if you wanna pay R600. The local distributor has been out of stock since December.:(

You can give THE WITCHER : ENHANCED EDITION a try. I'm having tons of fun with it.

I just bought Titan quest gold edition, haven’t started it yet as I am playing Mass Effect, but it looks like it will provide a few hours entertainment.

If you are looking for a great RPG that was released not to long ago play Mass Effect or The Witcher.

BUT, there are extremely good classics that I play over every once in a while:
1. Baldur's Gate 1 (+ expansions) and Baldur's Gate 2 (+expansions)
2. Plancescape Torment (Best RPG ever!!)
3. Icewind Dale Series

If you choose any one of the abovementioned I guarantee that you will enjoy yourself, that is if you really into RPG's.

hi guys

many thanks for all the suggestions...

I have played many RPG's, many of them older ones which I still think hold the best story line/ action combo!

I have finished most games listed here, and would say that Baldur's Gate was the BEST! I finished them all, still have very fond memories of that game!

At the moment Im playing Titanquest Immortal Throne, but Im starting to get annoyed. All the mobs just seem the same over and over and over... grrr! Seriously its just getting too much...

Im having a look at http://www.drakensang.info/component/option,com_zoom/Itemid,99999999/catid,2/ which looks OK, might be a bit cheesy though! LOL :D

I have never played Sacred though... maybe I should take a look at that...

Thanks again!! *thumbs up*

Yeah, those are commonly thought of as hack-and-slash grindfests :3

I'd say it depends largely on what you have/haven't played and what you're willing to play.

Are you interested in story and depth, or simply glorified hack-and-slash?

Some of my favourite RPGs:

Planescape: Torment
Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura
The Witcher
Baldur's Gate
Gothic :3
Fable
Neverwinter Nights
Vampire: Masquerade - Bloodlines

Oh, and of course - Fallout.

Edit: *slaps head* Of course - what kaaskop said - Jade Empire - beautiful game :3

IMO, Baldur's Gate 2 is still the greatest RPG ever created

um... guys?

FALLOUT 2?

FALLOUT 2!

man, played this one again recently. graphics are terrible, but jeez, they don't make games like they used to any more. lost a couple weeks of my life, and i could probably play it through from begining to end a couple more times to see everything is has to offer.

you can become a porn star, for pete's sake!

and 1+ to Lycanthrope for mentioning Arcanum : IMO of the least recognized and appreciated RPG's of all time.

if you're into emulation then checkout the square / enix rpg's for the SNES : final fantasy VI / III, chrono trigger, secret of evermore.

like i said, they don't make RPG's like they used to...
