Hi guys

I'm looking for some options for dedicated hosting at an ISP.

I have already looked at the following:

WebAfrica
Hetzner
DigiServ

We want to start offering our own web hosting on a dedicated server and it needs to be Windows based.

Any others out there that I should take a look at?

Hi Cloud,

RichardG is correct regarding the location and budget but it would also depend on what level of server administration you need (do you need them to handle updates, security, etc for you or can you handle all these aspects yourself).

Hi guys, thanks for the replies so far.

We want to host locally, and would need only about 2gb of traffic a month.

So far, the R1500~ WA option seems the best.

Hetzner charges extra for Windows hosting, licensing costs, but doesn't state how much.

Our dedicated server is hosted at Hetzner and their service & uptime is outstanding. I could definitely recommend them.

I would suggest Webafrica... their service is 2nd to none really

I'm looking at going dedicated with them shortly when I launch my new business venture.

For customer service and server up time I can recommend both Hetzner and WebAfrica.

I have, and still is, using both for hosting (although I only require shared hosting). Their service is great. I have never had any problems with down time. And both have excellent technical staff should you run into problems (though I have only ever dealt with the linux technical staff).

The only difference between the two would be pricing/hardware specs. That should be easy for you to check the difference.
Another thing to consider would be if you have a need for international hosting. Hetzner have international servers in Germany, while WebAfrica has their's in the US.

But again, I would recommend both of these companies.
