Deezer Family

I just wish Deezer had the same ability to upload your own collection like Google Play Music. You can upload your own stuff in Deezer, but the management is not that great (this was 6 months ago).
A family plan would save me some cash. Sigh, choices choices...I'm paying for 3 Google accounts at the moment :(

Use both. Probem solved...

Better solution - use Apple Music Family for R90pm. Good for 6 people at the same address. It has come a long way since it's unimpressive launch. There are loads of decent curated playlists, the radio stations are very good, the iTunes Apple Music design has improved and the iCloud Music Library is better than anything the competition offer. Like Play Music, all your local music is uploaded to the cloud and integrated with your library. But unlike the competition, you can download anything you want and not just playlists. The Android app is quite good now, and the fact that iTunes is great at ripping and burning audio CDs is just icing on top. Apple Music also has loads more exclusive content than rival services, and Apple seems to be aggressively adding value.

As someone who couldn't care less about iPhones, iPads and Macs, I rate Apple Music as the best of all the streaming services. Even Spotify, which has had lousy playlists for a while now and has always had terrible library management.

If it's not on the web it can sod off. Will never again infect my PC with iTunes. I also fail to see how exclusives make them better it just means Apple can't compete on anything else and they have to make use of dirty tricks.

Even without the exclusives, Apple Music is very good. iTunes had a recent design update that drastically improved usability. You can get a free 3 month trial, so give it a go and see if you like it.

I'm the opposite when it comes to accessing my music. I couldn't care less if there's an online interface - if I don't get a desktop app I'm not interested.

You can cancel billing as soon as you've signed up, much like any trial out there.

Again, I'm no fan of Apple. But I rate Apple Music as the best right now.

No other streaming service offers this in SA:
- R90pm family plan
- Cloud library
- Freedom to download anything you want, not just playlists
- Extensive curated playlists & radio stations
- Competent playlists generated for individual tracks

Play Music doesn't have a family plan, and Deezer, Simfy, Spotify etc. don't have cloud libraries.

Yes, although as I mentioned above,

Usability is one thing but bloatware and other cr@p like bonjour ain't finding its way to my startup if I can avoid it.

You know you can modify what is allowed to run at startup and in the background right? I don't have any Apple services running.

Correction, you aren't aware of any.

The lack of a web interface for Apple Music basically kills it for me. I mostly work in Linux, so there isn't going to be a native client anytime soon.

That's a bummer. Play Music - web interface & cloud management but no family plan. Deezer - family plan & web interface but no cloud management.
